Tips
For your first move, move the king's pawn out 2 squares.
Castle as soon as you can!
To prevent yourself from being checkmated after a castle, keep a Rook or Queen on the same row as the king, or move you pawn furthest to the right one square foward.
Don't be upset if you lose your knights. They are only useful in the beginning of the game.
Have one Rook for attacking and one Rook for defending the King.
When you get the chance to promote a pawn, always promote it into a Queen unless promoting it into something else will checkmate your opponent.
Don't bring out your Queen to early.
Be careful of doubled pawns! That happens when a pawn is right below another pawn.
If you end up with just a King, don't worry! You still have the chance to stalemate.
